CACET Global has developed a specialist child protection program addressing Tourism Operators, hotel and tourism staff which ensures that management and those staff dealing with or coming in contact with children and young people have increased and up to date awareness on child abuse issues, particularly in the area of child sex tourism. This is in line with the World Tourism Organisation (WTO) code of conduct and the 6 principles contained therein, particularly in the area of principal no. 3 “train the personnel in the country of company activities”.

We believe that on-going, regular child protection training for tourism/hotel and resort management and staff not only satisfies the requirement of the WTO Code of Conduct but also ensures that clients/tourists with children can feel safe in the knowledge that the hotel/resort of their choice is not only “child friendly” but more importantly, “child safe”. The tourism/hotel resort industry has a high turn-over of staff and as such, we believe that regular off new staff and shorter, update training for existing staff is both desirable and a positive step and also one for which many clients/tourists will appreciate and look for when searching for a holiday destination suitable for children.

Part 2 of the program is designed for managers and recruitment staff to ensure that proper, child safe recruitment, selection and screening processes are utilised. Additional specialist training components include how offenders think, operate, groom victims and infiltrate organisations with an emphasis on “MAKING THE ORGANISATION SAFE”
